Arjuna

Arjuna means white or clear (shubhra, swachcha). Thus, Arjuna is one whose mind is clean and does not have any impure thoughts. one who is mentally pure, can get the wisdom of Gita
Arjuna - arjanaath arjunah; arjana is to earn, acquire. Arjuna is one who always wants to earn wisdom; one who is not happy with his/her earning (of knowledge); one who always wants to acquire more knowledge; one having this thirst is Arjuna
Arjuna is also known by the following names: savyasaachi, guDaakesha
savyasaachi - not just ambidextrous but also ambivert. Arjuna is one whose personality is between introvert and extrovert; one who is neither over-intellectual nor over-emotional, but whose personality trait includes both these characteristics.
guDaakesha - one who has overcome(or won) the tendency to sleep. Arjuna is one who has won over not just sleep, but also laziness, ignorance, taamasa
{Krishna is black and Arjuna is white. But, in Gita, Krishna is 'white' and Arjuna wants to remove his 'black' inclinations. 'ya nisha sarva bhootaanam...'-- "that which is night to everyone, is daytime for a self-restraint and the time when the world is awake, is night for such a yogi" Gita 2.69 }
