Gita satsang 12.7 (tesham aham samuddharta)

tesam aham samuddharta
mrtyu-samsara-sagarat
bhavami na cirat partha
mayy avesita-cetasam || 12.7

For one who worships Me, giving up all his activities unto Me and being devoted to Me without deviation, engaged in devotional service and always meditating upon Me, who has fixed his mind upon Me, O son of Prtha, for him I am the swift deliverer from the ocean of birth and death.


तॆषामहं समुद्धर्ता मृत्यु संसार सागरात्
भवामि न चिरात् पार्थ मय्यावॆशितचॆतसाम् ॥ 12.7

This verse and the previous one combined is like a summary of what we have learnt so far.
Whoever, सर्वाणि कर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य submits all their deeds unto me,
मय्यावॆशित चॆतसाम् अनन्यॆनैव यॊगॆन मां ध्यायंत उपासते
worship me devoting themselves completely in mind and in अनन्य यॊग
तॆषामहं समुद्धर्ता भवामि
I lift them up
न चिरात् मृत्यु संसार सागरात्
and immediately grant them mOksha, emancipation from this ocean of samsaara

Arjuna, in the beginning of the chapter asks the Lord whether worshipping Him is better or worshipping the avyakta roopa lakshmi is better.
Lord replies that even if you worship Lakshmi you will reach me ultimately. But it is difficult to worship Laxmi while it is easy to worship Him.

In the first 3 verses, Lord explains the worship of Goddess Lakshmi and in the current two, He explains His worship where Lord beautifully compares the two kinds of upaasana.
He says, अवय्क्तम् पर्युपासते.
Not just upaasate, but paryupaasate, one who properly does the upaasana of lakshmi.
Where as in the current verse, he just says,
मां ध्यायंत उपासते
We have seen in last time, how easy it is to do His upaasana,
पत्रं पुष्पं फलं तॊयं
is enough to worship Him

and Lord says for worshipping Lakshmi,
संन्नियमॆंद्रिय ग्रामं
not just niyamya, but saMnniyamya
complete control of all the senses. One requires complete control of all the senses to worship Lakshmi
Where as for worshipping Him, He says, even if there are few deficiencies, He will take care of covering for them.
तॆषामहं समुद्धर्ता भवामि
I shall provide them with the power of self control and lift Him up.
We have seen this earlier too
यॊगक्षॆमं वहाम्यहं
न मॆ भक्तः प्रणश्यति

And also, He says,
क्लॆषॊ अधिकतरः तॆषां - अधिक क्लॆषः
with lot of difficulty is it possible to attain mOksha through the blessings of Lakshmi.

Whereas, here, Lord uses,
न चिरात्
instantly, will He bless His devotees.

कृष्णन नेनेदरे कष्ट ओंदिष्टिल्ल, कृष्ण एनबारदे?!
We have seen the stories of gajendra, where Lord instantly comes and blesses the elephant
सिरिगे हॆळदे बंदे
or during ajaamiLa's episode, where Lord instantly sends His dootaas, before Yama's servants take Ajamila away.

Thus it is very easy to worship the Lord and get moksha than worship Lakshmi.
But we all know that Lakshmi is all powerful. We saw during previous satsang
दैवि ह्यॆषा गुणमयि मम माया दुरत्यया
She is daivi and duratyaya, divine and difficult to subserviate. But she is His adheena; His subordinate and hence should be worshipped as such, along with Him.
Thats why, we say,
अनन्यॆनैव यॊगॆन
We have read in dvaadasha stotra
विश्वस्थितिप्रलयसर्गमहाविभूति
वृत्तिप्रकाशनियमावृतिबंधमोक्षाः
All this creation, sustenance, destruction of the universe etc, including moksha, is just obtained by the side long glance of Lakshmi
य़स्या अपांगलवमात्रत
अपांग = side long glance, लवमात्रत = very little
leads to all this.
But, such Lakshmi
श्रीः यत् कटाक्ष बलवति
is because of the kind look of Lord Ajita.
Additionally, Madhwaacharya says in the last verse of this stotra,
यः स्तोत्रं ऎतदभियात् तयॊरभीष्टम्
those who worship Goddess Lakshmi like this, knowing that all the greatness of Goddess lakshmi is due to the grace of Lord, for them, all their wishes will be fulfilled!

Thus, we have to submit all the deeds to the Lord, with the understanding that he is the doer inside us,
worship Him with great devotion in mind with the understanding that He is the supreme being, sarvottama, then the Lord will lift us immediately out of this ocean of life-death, and provide us moksha.
